We offer a range of book ahead, on-the-day, and telephone appointments Monday to Friday as well as home visits for housebound patients.
Early morning and early evening appointments are also available both for our Extended Hours and Improved Access services. Please enquire about specific times with reception as a range is available (some held at other local practices).
Please note The Orchard is closed Wednesday to Friday afternoons.
When we're closed
Enhanced Access
Requirements: To provide enhanced access appointments between the hours of 6:30pm to 8:00pm Monday to Friday and between 9:00am and 5:00pm on Saturday.
Service that we are currently providing as part of our enhanced access:
- Saturday: NHS Health Checks, Phlebotomy, Physio, Medication Queries, Medication Reviews, carried out by our remote Clinical Pharmacists
- Monday to Friday (evenings): GP telephone calls and Pharmacist telephone calls
Life Threatening
Call 999 or go to A&E now if:
- you or someone you know needs immediate help
- you have seriously harmed yourself – for example, by taking a drug overdose
A mental health emergency should be taken as seriously as a medical emergency.
Urgent But Not Life Threatening
Visit an urgent care centre if:
- You have an urgent medical issue requiring on the day attention
Non-urgent
Use NHS 111 if:
- You need help now, but it’s not an emergency
There will be someone to provide you with advice and to direct you to a clinician if it is necessary.
