Flu and COVID-19 Vaccinations – Winter 2025

This winter, the NHS is following updated national guidance on who can receive a flu or COVID-19 vaccination.

Flu Vaccination Eligibility – Winter 2025

The flu jab is free on the NHS for:

• All adults aged 65 years and over
• People aged 6 months to 64 years in an at-risk group or Immunocompromised
• Carers & Frontline health and social care workers

If you fall into one of these groups, please book your flu vaccination as soon as possible to protect yourself and those around you.

COVID-19 Vaccination Eligibility – Winter 2025

From 1st October 2025, COVID-19 vaccinations will only be available to:

• Adults aged 75 years and over
• Residents in care homes for older adults
• People aged 6 months and over who are severely immunosuppressed

If you are under 75 and are not in an at-risk group, you will not be offered a COVID-19 jab this season at any GP surgery, pharmacy, or vaccination centre.

From 1st October 2025, we will be running weekday and weekend vaccination clinics at:

• Please wait for your link before booking online, or contact your GP reception team to arrange your appointment.
• It’s best to wait for your text — this way you can book straight away and avoid waiting in the phone queue!

You only need to book one appointment this winter — the invitation will confirm whether you are due a flu jab, a COVID-19 jab, or both.
