How to Request a Home Visit

BACK TO MAIN INDEX

We ask that you only request a home visit if you are too unwell to attend the surgery or are housebound. This is in your interest as there are more treatment facilities at the surgery than in your home.

All house calls will be carried out on the day requested. It is of great help if you make your request before 12 noon. The receptionist will ask for a brief description of the problem so that the doctor can evaluate the urgency of the visit and plan their rounds accordingly. Visits will be in the middle of the day between surgery times. The doctors will not visit patients who have requested to remain on the practice books but have moved outside the practice bounday area

Emergencies are dealt with immediately.
